Intercession Jesus Ministry Pain Purpose

Empathic or Spiritual Gift?

Jesus is my Pastor – empathic and gifted

You might not know; you may even be doing both – being empathic and receiving a Word of Knowledge – one of the Spiritual gifts – about someone else.

Add compassion, like Jesus, to your gentle awareness of pain – the healing and ministry is better, easier, faster.

You can do these things for others, especially when you have a Word of Knowledge that allows you to feel and experience what is going on with the other person. You can often do this for others in intercessory prayer.

I wonder if this is is how Jesus sometimes healed. I think probably so.

Jesus as the Word who created all, including us, has given us these gifts to gently and lovingly use.

Jesus literally has created us to heal trauma and pain.

What amazing and wonderful gifts he has given us.

And he has sent Holy Spirit to help us discover, learn about and do these things. Which, with our Helper and Guide, goes so much better, easier and better.

So do as he told us, and as he showed us. Heal pain and trauma in yourself and others with gentle compassion and Holy Spirit.

Do not wait, do not be passive. He tells us today, go: heal the sick and free the bound. With gentle compassion and love, go forth and heal. You do these things.

He has equipped us and given us all we need to do as he says.

Those of you who are Highly Sensitive Persons or who are highly empathic have been especially equipped to heal this way, with your gentle, compassionate and loving attention, first with front of the mind awareness, then with back of the mind awareness which resolves trauma and speeds healing along. These are gifts from our Creator, the Word. Jesus.

What an amazing and wonderful Lord he is!

Prayer & Ministry Targets

joshua-earle-9idqIGrLuTE-unsplash

What are prayer and ministry targets? Prayer for and ministry to people and situations where you can see the wanted results as the Kingdom of God spreads.

Answers to prayer with targets that you can see for yourself. Fruit of ministry that can you can see and and appreciate.

Too few people know this. It’s a sort of secret. More people should know: most prayer gets results, and quickly. With wonderful speed. Most ministry yields good fruit – with very good and rapid results.

Why do not more people know? Why are we ourselves so slow to recognize and see this? Well, for me, it’s anxiousness for wanted results. We focus so much on results we want and do not see that we focus less on our Lord. We focus on so much we do not notice how rapid the results usually are, because we’ve moved on to the next thing we do not have or do not see. And we focus on and remember our pain and disappointments more than on our joy and successes.

It’s sort of amazing that we have enough faith to get so much done. But we look at results so little because we focus on the next thing we do not yet experience or have.

In your Prayer Journal or elsewhere (I used index cards) note what you pray for and what you minister for – and note the results and date each of these. You will be as astounded as I was to discover that most prayer yields excellent results and most ministry bears good fruit. And you will delight at the speed. And you will wonder why this sometimes doesn’t happen – you will investigate and learn.

A Secret to Powerful Ministry

There are a few secrets to powerful ministry. This is one.

I am surprised & delighted at how many powerful ministries do this.

When I remember to get this done, even a little, my ministry is stronger, better, more powerful. I am more gifted and smarter. The people I serve pull out the best in me so well they help me do my best – better than I knew I could do. I learn a lot through the people I am ministering to.

It’s simple. Prayer support. The more prayer support the better!

Here are some ideas about how to do this:

  • Jesus sent people in pairs to minister, and he gave us this standard. You minister with someone else; this is how you normally do ministry with the standard set by Jesus. So while one talks, the other prays – for the person ministering. That Holy Spirit inspires and helps.
  • When you go somewhere to minister, have your personal and ministry intercessor teams pray for you and your ministry. You and your family are more safe when prayed for. Ministry is more powerful, effective and inspired when you prayed for.
  • At a place of ministry, have intercessors. Always, always, always have a ministry prayer team. If no one else, have your ministry partner pray. Add people who are there already. Even non-believers. (Doing this plants powerful seeds in non-believers.)
  • When teaching in a local church or elsewhere, ask some to intercede for you. Ask everyone to pray for you also, that you minister with more inspiration, love and power.

Many of us expect that intercessors should pray for the person being ministered to. My experience and that of some I’ve learned from tells me it’s most effective that the power of prayer goes through you to the person being ministered to. Explore this and find out for yourself.

Anointing Conversation with God Discipleship Getting Help Healing Intercession Ministry Prayer

Experience Ministering with Jesus

So…by now I hope you are praying well – having conversations with Father, Jesus, &/or Holy Spirit: one God, three Persons. Getting answers quickly. Getting guidance and persisting. If you are having difficulty hearing God, doing one thing appears to be especially valuable.

I’ll focus on Jesus – which is easier for many of us and is a splendid fallback position when you are not doing as well or being as resourceful as you prefer. You can talk to one, two, or all of the Trinity – one at a time or together.

This is your genuine family. The root and basis of who you really are.

Remember how Jesus ministers: doing as Father shows him or tells him. You can do the same.

So…to minister with Jesus, or through Jesus when you need to depend on him even more and especially when you are not ready to be more active, here’s how to experience this.

Pray. Talk to Jesus. Listen, sense, watch – receive guidance and answers. Ask how to pray. In active ministry, it’s especially valuable to converse quickly and get helpful responses. Here’s how to get quick and reliable guidance from God about how to pray.

Tell Jesus what’s on your heart. Ask for guidance or how to pray, just as in the links above. Or, when you want to intercede and ask God to help – ask Jesus to take care of what is already on your heart. It’s a brilliant way to intercede. Intercession is asking God to do something for someone – so literally do this!

Minister with Jesus. Minister through Jesus. You can do this. And it’s as easy as having a conversation. Because that’s what prayer is – having a conversation where you share your heart and where you are attentive to and allow Jesus to share his heart with you.

He loves you that much. He wants to minister that much. He wants to minister with you and through you. And he loves it when you minister with him – and when you minister through him. He loves this much.

So minister with Jesus. Minister through Jesus. Love and serve, with and through our Lord and Savior. You can do this! He makes it easy.

Put your compassion to work. Add your faith – you only need a teeny, mustard seed size bit of faith. Or have someone pray with you and allow them to use their faith. This is one of many excellent reasons for having prayer partners. (More on Prayer Partners, soon.)

Interceding from Within the Kingdom of God

When you pray from within the Kingdom of God – the place God rules from – which is now always within reach – literally. You pray from a place of Love, Power and Holy Spirit Guidance.

The Presence of our Lord is powerful. Within reach, always. The Glory of our Lord emanates from his holy Presence. Some see this as light, other times, missed, other times a weight – being weighed down.

This is a magnificent way to pray.

A lot of us have not thought to pray from here; yet once you consider this, it may be obvious that this is an outstanding thing to explore and learn about. And to do.

This is what Jesus did; and his prayers and commands for healing were – successful! Powerful. Full of compassion.

You can be this way, too. And hear and do what Father shows you, through Holy Spirit. Ministering more like Jesus.

**************************************************************

Some additional thoughts, in response to a request for more on this:

The Kingdom of God is the love, power and Presence of God ruling in a situation or place. Where there is righteousness and joy in Holy Spirit. This is always at reach, at hand rather. All you have to do is reach out in your spirit, your heart. God and his Kingdom are within reach. This is the Good News of the Kingdom of God.

The King is in his Kingdom, this is where Jesus is. You can call on his name, or ask for the other Comforter he sent, Holy Spirit. You have already Holy Spirit in you.

You can always ask for more of Holy Spirit with sincerity – and receive by faith. Your experience may not be dramatic, but you receive more of Holy Spirit when you ask sincerely with faith, confidence and trust in God.

With more of Holy Spirit you can pray for others. You can ask how to pray and receive guidance for that.

Here’s an article about how to have such guidance for prayer, if you are interested and you can learn to minister more like Jesus — doing as Father says and shows. What a wonderful way to pray and minister!

Always Praying

It is more practical to continue praying and to be praying always than many of us have thought. It’s easy, it’s good to do – and it can be important, even life saving.

The first time this happened, and I was led with conscious awareness by Holy Spirit was after my father collapsed and threw up a rather large amount of blood.

He was rushed to the hospital, and immediately sent to emergency surgery. Which took a surprisingly long number of hours.

I prayed for him and for his surgery to go well and for his healing. Holy Spirit was directing me. I saw a star, a smallish star, and I knew I was to keep my attention on this star as a part of my prayer.

So where ever I was, what ever I was doing, I kept part of my attention on this “star”, as I was being gifted and led to do.

I was helping, I was praying, and I would be learning from this.

It turns out that when they thought they were finished with the surgery, they miscounted sponges and thought they were missing one. So they opened him up and looked for it.

As they were looking for this sponge, they found a small artery that was bleeding. They said it would have killed him, but was small enough so that there would be no dramatic symptoms right away – which would delay or even keep them from knowing they had to cut him open again to find the bleed and save his life.

The found the small bleeding artery, closed it, and closed him up. Surgery was successful, and he lived.

He not only lived, he went on to change his life in other good and needed ways – which gave him a longer life and a better one. That’s another story.

From what I could tell, the time I the star and the flow of intention and dunamos energy stopped was about the same time the opened him up again, found the bleeding artery and fixed it.

The timing was to teach me something about how prayer goes.

And I learned consciously how to pray in the Spirit, with my spirit. How to notice and respond to the signals I was given, to obey and continue. Until it was done.

You can do this too. Pray in the Spirit, noticing and paying attention, obeying what is given you, until it is done.

You will be praying continuously, and can continue until it is complete: until the prayer work is done. You will know when it’s done, because a part of you is still and continuously paying attention.

You can pray in the Spirit. With your spirit. Notice what you are given to do, led to do; and to obey until it is complete.

You will over the course of your lifetime, by doing this, help many people in many situations. Including following Holy Spirit as someone heals. Lives will sometimes be saved. Other blessings will accrue.

Pray in the Spirit as directed until it is done and complete. You can do this, and our Lord wants you to do so.

Thus you will be doing what you are shown, and ministering more like Jesus.

Healing at a Distance: Intercession

This morning I received a request for further healing help through a friend, for someone my friend knows and cares about. Someone I know of.

I immediately saw a micro-vision, a picture of a heart. And I knew on the inside that I was being directed to send love. That is how I am to respond, this morning. It was fast, and fortunately, I was paying attention and ready.

The flow of love was going well. Agape, the Jesus kind of love, which he has taught me so much about.

I thought at first this would be fast because I got that direction. I was mistaken. The flow continued for a while…and I am not finished with praying until it’s done.

This is one example of how you can pray and receive direction for healing (or other) prayer. Even healing at a distance. And as long as the flow is continuing, you are to continue.

That’s better than what I used to think – well, I do a bit of what I’m told and that’s sufficient. We learn. I learn, you learn. Especially as we pay attention to Holy Spirit.

Keep paying attention, doing as you are shown. Follow Holy Spirit. And continue until it is done.

Praying for healing at a distance with the help of Holy Spirit is a wonderful opportunity you will be given often. Honor this.

Do as you are shown, and continue until it is complete. Minister more like Jesus.

Discipleship, Getting Help Intercession Kingdom of God Missing the mark: Sin Pain Prayer

Prophecy or Judgement?

I believe this is a lesson Father wants me to learn and act upon:

I have a friend who has wonderful prophetic gifts.

Who also has a wonderful capacity to see where someone, especially professing Christians, are wrong. Especially where they are being hypocritical or falling short.

Such an ability can be used to judge, having been hurt and angered by what is seen. And then to do nothing to help them be fully restored.

Emotional healing is needed. Such a person needs to be restored. So they are free to minister in the love of Jesus rather than to judge.

I pray that such a friend, such a person, will come to Jesus to receive emotional healing. That I will have the wisdom to know how to intercede for such a person, and to know how to offer such emotional healing prayer with them. Then to exhort and encourage them to use their gifts to minister where they see need, where they see other Christians missing the mark.

Knowing what ministry is needed, such an ability and gifting can be used to exhort, teach and minister. To restore and redeem, in Jesus.

Knowing what a ministry target Father has on his heart.

For ministry. Not judgement.

Do you know such a person? Highly gifted, hurt and angry? Judgemental?

Who has been missing the opportunity to minister the love of Jesus; to heal, restore? To love, exhort and to teach?

I believe we are sent to extend the mission of Jesus and the Kingdom of God. To help redeem, reconcile and restore.

People may disappoint and even hurt us. Does Jesus want us to judge and leave those people in having missed the mark?

What does Jesus want such a prophetically gifted person to do?

Do you know such a person, or have such a friend?

I have been missing the mark. I have not interceded enough. I have not offered prayer for emotional healing in a way that speaks to my friend. I have not helped my friend – I just see what is missing and wrong.

I am missing the mark. I am sinning. I have the same kind of problem that my friend has. Oh, the irony of this!

Is the Kingdom of God meant to be a multi-level organization of judgement? Where we each see what is wrong with each other and then judge? Or a place where God calls us to do our own part to help create a multi-level Kingdom of restoration, where we each minister with love and joy?

Please pray that I receive every bit of healing and wisdom that I need. So I minister with and in the love of Jesus and see my friend restored. That I not judge. That I not do nothing.

Calling the Miracle

You can minister to others or receive your own miracle – by calling for the miracle.

How? Call on Jesus. Hear Jesus respond via Holy Spirit.

When you know what miracle is called for, you can ask Holy Spirit.

Your response will be yes, or something better. Occasionally a “not now”. (A “not now” is extremely rare. Only heard that once. I didn’t know Still Small Voice could be so loud. Hard to explain. Maybe more on that later.)

You might begin to realize it is not appropriate, right or good. Take the feedback! Do not continue unless it is good and right.

You will be shown what to do, hear what to do, or otherwise led by Holy Spirit. Obey. Act.

You may have to set the stage first, when ministering to others. You may have to interrupt events already in progress. You may have to tell a surprising story that opens your hearers hearts. That prepares the way, smooths the way. Levels the road. If so, you’ll be led to do that, too. You want their complete attention if they are to receive their miracle.

When you call on a miracle, or call on God for a miracle – you are literally calling. Like speaking to your mountain — youspeaktoit.

You will get a response. Be quiet and listen for a response. A non-response is not a yes. Although it could be a yes that you did not hear. It also may be best to try again later.

When you call a pet or a person, you expect a response and you pay attention so you can notice – a response. Or notice that you are not noticing anything. You want and maybe even need to know; and these are different – so pay attention.

It’s a form of call and response; only not in church or with an audience – it’s you calling and paying attention for your response.

You can call with strong and pure intent. Be really sincere. A child or cat will not come when you call but they know you do not really mean it. Why would a miracle come when you do not mean it?

Be single minded. Be sincere. Mean it when you call for anything, including a miracle big or small.

Pay attention to your response. Act on that response.

For many of us, it is easier to be single minded, sincere and congruent when we ask out loud. There are times (especially when ministering to someone else) that it may be best to call your miracle to come, to manifest, silently. Notice the response. Then, as appropriate, ask out loud. This can be a best way to go when ministering to others.

Of course, if others hear you calling for something, and they even sometimes all perceive a response soon, then you are teaching about how to do something important and valuable. By example, teaching or giving a sermon. Or, depending on who is learning – you may even be engaged in disciple-making.

I hope so! In fact, I call on you to do so.

Ask Jesus – Early & Often

When you have an emotional or physical pain, ask Jesus to fill you with more of Holy Spirit.

Ask Jesus to heal that…very specific pain.

With Jesus, and having Holy Spirit in you and on you – because you asked for this and received by faith – speak to your mountain. Speak to the pain by name. Tell it what to do.

You can be calm, quiet and firm. You just mean what you say – you are being sincere.

Sincerity not only helps, prayer without sincerity, and speaking to things without sincerity — is too often an exercise in multiplying frustration.

Speak to your pain. Breathe. Be ready when you do this!

I find that when I feel my pain without attachment (by already having asked for and receiving by faith – more of Holy Spirit), when I breathe deeply, and ask for Jesus and his help — by the time I ask for Jesus, I am more ready to do this with sincerity. With good connection. That’s:

  • Feel the pain without attachment by having already asked for, and receiving by faith, more of Holy Spirit.
  • Breathe deeply – which in this context may actually help you experience more of Holy Spirit. The breathe of God.
  • Ask for and connect with Jesus. Call on the name of Jesus. Ask Jesus for help, being specific, clear, sincere – and ready to receive.

Do these things and you may find yourself like me, more ready to receive blessings and healing and freedom from pain.

And if you have an inkling to add something or do this in a different way, this could be from Holy Spirit. Always do what Holy Spirit says for best results. Always.

Ask for Jesus. Ask early. Ask often. It’s never too late. Be sincere. Be ready – no need to rush. And when you are ready, you can receive blessings that Jesus has given – more easily and better and more often.

Ask Jesus, ask early and often. Be sincerely ready, and receive with joy — and give thanks! It’ll improve your disposition; doing this is really good for you.

Oh – and do not deny this to others. Help them go through this, too. You can lead them. With Holy Spirit. And be glad you did. And rejoice!
